100 years of Adventism in Nigeria: see what NAAS said

from the facebook page of NAAS.
Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nigeria will be 100 years old in March 2014. This is a historical year for Nigeria as a Nation and Seventh-Day Adventists in particular. Am very disappointed to learn that little or nothing is been done by the Church as a corporate body to celebrate the centenary anniversary of its existence having contributed so much in the areas of Health (through its excellent network of health care facilities across the country) Education (with its holistic approach in inculcating values in its grandaunts); humanitarian Services (as seen in the activities of ADRA Nigeria, Adventist Women Ministries, AYM, Prison Ministries, AMO, etc) and a whole lot in Religious liberty, emancipation of the oppressed, giving succours to the underprivileged as well as preaching liberation to those under spiritual bondage.

At present am in Ghana for a short visit and witnessed the 125th Anniversary of Adventism in Ghana - It was wonderful. The Ghanaian Government recognizes the tremendous contributions of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to the country hence accorded her its rightful place with a publication on the Government of Ghana Official Portal read at http://www.ghana.gov.gh/index.php/9-uncategorised/893-seventh-day-adventist-church-in-ghana-launches-125th-anniversary

I have listened to the announcement by both the Sabbath School Secretary during the Sabbath School period and the Church Clerk/Secretay during the Personal Ministries time, the only mention of 100 years of Adventism celebration in Nigeria is there is uniform for five thousand Naira. I have made several calls to both my local conference officers and the big men at Lagos it seems we are right for it.

This is an opportunity the church need to utilize to get the President of this country to worship in one of our churches. Let this country know our contributions in the areas of heath and health education; Education (Babcock have become a brand name and prestige to Nigerian higher education both here in Nigeria and abroad) including the network of 15 Secondary Schools scattered across the country and hundreds of Nursery and Primary Schools. Will we be quiet about the the contributions of Professional Education Association (ADEASON) whose Journal have been accorded recognition by many higher institutions in Nigeria as a scholastic journal contributing to knowledge and academic development of academia. Many times to talk about. This is my recommendations
