IDENTITY LOGO

The logo and its meaning

The logo reflects the core values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Its foundation is the Bible, the Word of God, shown open because its message should be read and put into practice. Central to that biblical message is the cross, which is also a central feature of the logo. Above the cross and the open Bible is a burning flame that represents the Holy Spirit, the messenger of the truth.

THE SECOND COMING
The lines at the top of the design suggest upward momentum symbolizing the resurrection and ascension to heaven at Christ's second coming, the ultimate focus of our faith.

THE FLAME
This is the shape formed by three lines encircling an implied sphere. The lines represent the three angels of Revelation 14 circling the globe and our commission to take the gospel to the entire world. The overall shape forms a flame symbolic of the Holy Spirit.

THE CROSS
The symbol of the cross, representing the gospel of salvation, is positioned in the center of the design to emphasize Christ's sacrifice, which is the central theme of the Adventist faith.

THE OPEN BIBLE
The Bible forms the base of the design and represents the biblical foundation of our beliefs. It is portrayed in a fully open position suggesting a full acceptance of God's word.
It is our hope and prayer that though this logo is a very simple picture of the foundation of Adventist beliefs and values it may be a recognizable symbol of the Adventist message to the world.

"MY GOD LOVES WITHOUT RESTRAINT"

Fly Fishing and The Sabbath
For Dale, the Sabbath is more than a belief; it's a lifestyle. He explains how his love for the Sabbath reminds him of his passion for fly fishing.
Many have tried to determine what constitutes the essential human endeavor. For some it is to be known and for others it is to be loved. For many it is to make a lasting mark on the world so that the impact of ones life continues to have significance.
At the heart of each pursuit is the sense that human life, no matter how frail or fleeting, is of great value and this value is appreciated when one life becomes truly aware of another.
Every heart wants to be cherished, every mind understood and every voice heard.
In the pages of Holy Scripture we hear God saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you” and “I have loved you with an everlasting love” and we realize that we are known more completely and loved more deeply by our Creator than in any human experience.
It is divine love.
Although not every gesture of love demands a response, our Creator loves us and then invites us to respond.
What response does God want to divine love?
God wants to be known and to be loved. Moreover, God wants to live in our hearts but this invitation must come from us. Ultimately God wants to make an imprint on our lives that will last for eternity.
You are invited to discover for yourself the rich resources that Seventh-day Adventists have found on the journey in response to God’s invitation.

Adventist youth mobilize to spread joy and hope in Mexico City

November 03, 2015 | Mexico City, Mexico | Inter-American Division Staff
A group of Seventh-day Adventists in Mexico City rallied together recently in streets, parks and hospitals to bring joy and offer hope.
“Our city is in need of the healing love of Jesus Christ,” said Joel Omaña, youth leader at the Narvarte Adventist Church and organizer of the event.
“Today nearly 10,000 people were impacted with the message of love in Mexico City by an army of young people filled with the Holy Spirit,” said Omaña of the Oct. 10 event.
The group of nearly 200 from the Narvarte, Coyoacán, and Central Adventist Churches in the city divided into 17 groups. Each group moved through the different stations to make cards, and paper origami toys for sick children in two nearby hospitals. Family members waiting to see their ill children outside the general hospital were also prayed for and fed in another station.
Dozens headed to the Chapultepec national park where kiosks awaited for onlookers. They were taught about the eight natural remedies under the church’s “I Want To Live Healthy” initiative.
